Surface Tension

A completely outdoor theatre experience performed on the grounds of the Cayuga Museum. Playwright Karen Faris tells the story of the "girl on the beach." Rocked by rising sea levels and sinkholes, power struggles between constantly changing political forces, garbage strikes, and economic uncertainty, the people on the beach face the choice of destroying their world or saving it for the next generation. Surface Tension is a humorous and satirical romp through the forces of western femininity, capitalism, and climate change.

Immigration

Dialogue

Transmedia work. Inspired by President Obama’s Farewell Address - “And increasingly, we become so secure in our bubbles that we accept only information, whether true or not, that fits our opinions, instead of basing our opinions on the evidence that's out there… Ultimately, that's what our democracy demands.  It needs you…  If you're tired of arguing with strangers on the Internet, try to talk with one in real life.”
