Hillbrook Juvenile

Detention Center

Designed and implemented a forum theater - based curriculum founded on the book I Apologize by Syracuse native, Rashawn Sullivan. Bi-weekly workshops that combine lectures, games, and theater to guide incarcerated youth through self-reflection and behavior analysis.

Onondaga County

Justice Center

Weekly group-based game sessions, theatrical and traditional, with incarcerated juvenile males.

Upstate Medical

Hospital

Since 2012, ongoing bi-monthly workshops integrated into Upstate’s Resident Training Program. Through theater strategies, participants build confidence in empathetic talking and listening skills. In 2016 this program expanded to address the particular needs of veteran’s health care at the Syracuse Veteran’s Affairs Hospital.

2013 Imagining America Conference, Syracuse

Designed and performed a clown piece called Scholars with Borders that argued in favor of increased Syracuse University Partnerships with the overall Syracuse Community.

La Casita

Cultural Center

Facilitated several weekend workshops in popular theater techniques that transferred foundational philosophies and practices of the work of theater in community development. Participants were made up of members of the La Casita Latin community, public school teachers, and adult educators.

Syracuse City School District

Visited Nottingham and Fowler High schools as guest lecturer for the Partnership for Better Education Program.

CUSE Center-Recovery Community

Weekly improvisational theater workshop. Participants are those exploring recovery through a peer led drop in center.

Hopeprint

Since 2014, ongoing workshops with neighborhood and refugee children, youth, and adults in Northside, Syracuse using theater as a means to develop team working skills, interpersonal skills, critical thinking, confidence and self-expression. 

Hutchings Psychiatric Center

Presented several improvisational shows and workshops for residents and staff of the Hutchings Inpatients Program.

Fabius-Pompey

School District

Two, full year game theater residencies designed to augment and support classroom curriculum. Weekly sessions with selected classes through a variety of subjects combined with weekly evaluation and planning sessions with classroom teachers. 

Nottingham High School Jewish Youth Association

Workshop and improvisational performance for Jewish Youth.

Worker's Center of CNY

Ongoing since 2012. Partner with members of the Syracuse Latinx community on the creation and presentation of a series of original, educational plays based on the rights of farm workers.
